Volunteer with Co op Cultivaction

Join CultivAction for a hands-on urban agriculture experience! Learn fundamental urban farming skills through guided training sessions and take part in the day-to-day tasks of an urban farm. No previous gardening experience is needed. These sessions offer an opportunity to learn from others, get involved in community food production and support local food security. What to bring: Wear or bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. A bathroom is available to change and wash up before and after gardening. Sessions will be cancelled in the event of bad weather. Learn more about CultivAction and other ways to get involved at cultivaction.ca . This event is part of Campus Sustainability Month at Concordia, a month-long series of sustainability events and activities.

CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
