Unblocking Perception: Creative Release Workshop

A guided studio workshop focused on loosening control and shifting out of fixed approaches to image-making. Through fast-paced exercises, intuitive drawing, and material experimentation, participants are supported in moving beyond overthinking and into direct, process-based engagement with materials. This workshop emphasizes release, immediacy, and reconnecting with creative flow. It is designed for anyone interested in opening up their visual practice, regardless of experience level. Held every other Saturday from June through October near Metro Laurier. Limited to 4 participants per session. CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
