Talking Shop: No Experience Required

Événement

Join us at Concordia University's 4TH SPACE for Talking Shop , a live podcast recording from the Department of Marketing at the John Molson School of Business . What does it really take to build a successful career and company even when you don’t have all the answers? In this conversation, entrepreneur and Spin Master co-founder Ronnen Harary shares the story of his unconventional path, from his early experiences and first ventures to building global brands including PAW Patrol. We’ll explore uncertainty, failure, risk, timing and luck, why your 20s can be such an important period for experimentation, and how to recognize opportunities before they become obvious. We’ll also talk about his book, No Experience Required , and the idea at its heart: you don’t necessarily need to have all the answers before you get started. Hosted by Richard Sejean , marketer and lecturer at John Molson School of Business. How can you participate? Join us in person or online by registering for the Zoom Meeting or watching live on YouTube. Have questions? CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
