Activity and venue descriptions are provided in their original language.

Événement

Learn about Islam, Muslim practice and the Muslim community in Canada and in Montreal. We'll start with a short introduction, have an opportunity to visit the mosque during prayers and have time for questions and discussion with our hosts. Participate in this sacred site visit plus two others this academic year, complete a reflection to build your capacity for religious literacy and earn recognition on your Co-Curricular Record . More details will be sent to participants via email. All members of the Concordia community can register; priority will be given to current Concordia students. Please email mfsc@concordia.ca with any accessibility needs before October 9 so we can coordinate with our hosts.

CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
