Professionalism & relationships: How to be easy (and great) to work with

Activity and venue descriptions are provided in their original language.

Événement

“Professionalism” can feel like a set of unwritten rules that everyone else somehow already knows. The reality is simpler – and more learnable. Professionalism is about being proactive in understanding workplace expectations, building trust, showing good judgment, and making it easy for others to work with you. In this workshop, you’ll learn the unwritten expectations that shape professional environments, how to build strong workplace relationships, and how small, everyday actions influence how you’re perceived. You’ll walk away with practical strategies to show up as someone people trust, respect and want on their team. Students will be able to: Explain professionalism as a set of learnable habits, behaviours and mindsets that signal trust and reliability at work Identify unwritten workplace norms and expectations Apply the 5 best practices for relationship building Communicate with warmth, clarity and respect while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries Navigate collaboration and team dynamics proactively By the end, you’ll have a clear sense of how to carry yourself at work – and how small, consistent actions can build a reputation that opens doors. CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
