Événement

Join us for a conversation around the conclusion of the research residency of Berlin-based artist Larissa Fassler. Since September, Fassler has been conducting on-site research, worked in Concordia’s archives, and explored Montréal as she developed a new drawing that maps the university’s architecture alongside the city’s student and political movements. This drawing will be paired with another based on Freie Univerität Berlin under the title Bodies of Knowledge: The Architecture of Dissent and will be shown together at the Leonard & Bina Ellen Art Gallery in the summer of 2027. How can you participate? Join us in person or online by registering for the Zoom Meeting or watching live on YouTube . Group shows include the Chicago Architecture Biennial and the São Paulo Architecture Biennial. CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
