Community, Care and Compassion

Join this special pre-holiday session of Community, Care and Compassion , a program that offers compassionate spaces where Concordians can come together to name loss, support one another through change and build caring community. We'll spend the time preparing notes and cards for the upcoming winter break, new year or other holidays to share with a loved one or keep for yourself. Holidays can bring their own challenges in times of change or loss; in this gentle space, create something to bring a bit more care and compassion into the winter break. Students, faculty and staff are invited to engage in a non-judgmental setting in many ways: Share losses: Come together to acknowledge personal or collective grief. Engage in facilitated experiences and guided activities Pursue independent reflection: Take a moment on your own for journaling, meditation, art-making or other personal rituals. Community, Care & Compassion events will be held regularly throughout the year. Visit the MfSC events page to find out when. Registration is preferred but not required.

CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
